A bit about Sea Ventures

As the UK dealer for Jeanneau, Sea Ventures is the first port of call for new and used offshore race yachts, particularly suited to the shorthanded division. But they are more than just a dealership with a shiny showroom; with Nigel Collie at the helm, Sea Ventures Race Yachts brings decades of knowledge and experience in the sport of shorthanded offshore. Sea Ventures has been at the forefront of the rise in doublehanded racing in the UK and continues to be a strong advocate for the sport.

The Pathway to Ownership Programme

The leap from crewing for someone else to becoming an owner can feel like navigating through fog. Our Pathway to Ownership programme is designed to clear the air, providing a structured, least-stress route to skippering your own race yacht.

How it works:

• Test the waters: Join us for a trial sail on our Sunfast 3200, 3300 or 3600 to get a feel for these performance race yachts and see what could be the right fit for you.

• Develop your skills: Take part in a bespoke race skipper training programme to help you build skill and confident in all aspects of the boat, including spinnaker handling, helming (and parking).

• Ownership mentoring: If you do go on to buy, Unity sailing can provide a coach to help get you up to speed on your own boat and offer guidance on the 'hidden' side of ownership: maintenance, berthing, rules compliance etc. We also offer management plans to take care of this for you.

• The shared access option: Interested in ownership without the full-time commitment? Ask about our structured syndicates and shared management schemes.
